Woven brake lining M9020

Our M9020 is a heavy-duty composite woven from yarns containing brass wire. It is asbestos-free and approved by GL DNV for use in marine mooring and anchor winches. Suitable for light to heavy duty service, M9020 is ideal for a range of applications, including winches, cranes and hoists, as well as other heavy-duty industrial purposes.

M9020 is characterised by a constant coefficient of friction and good resistance even at high temperatures. It retains its braking effect when contaminated by sea water or oil. Being a dense, tough material, M9020 exhibits exceptional resistance to heat and compression under high loads. Moreover, it has excellent fade and recovery stability.

Many winch manufacturers already use M9020 for their new building winches and recommend our linings to their customers for replacement deliveries.

We have a large quantity of standard material sizes available in Hamburg, with thickness ranging from 3 to 25 mm and width up to 370 mm.

Fixing materials screws / rivets / glue

Our woven brake linings M9020 are complemented by all necessary fittings. Depending on the winch manufacturer, this means either rivets, screws and nuts or adhesives and hardening. Copper rivets with flat head, semi-tubular in standard diameters of 6, 8 and 10 mm are available in many different lengths. Brass screws with countersunk head and nuts in standard diameters of 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm are also available in a range of lengths. To draw up a quote, we simply need to know the required diameter, length and quantity.

Revision of steel brake bands / brake shoes

We also carry out reconditioning of brake shoes / brake bands, which is often more cost-effective than new acquisition. This involves the removal of old linings, cleaning of band, fitting of new brake lining M9020 (or other required material) and painting, if requested.

Details of the width, thickness and length of brake bands are required to provide an individual quote. Photos are also helpful.

Brake discs can also be revised by us. In order to prepare a quotation, we need the details of outer diameter, inner diameter and thickness. Please contact us for further information.
